Hello, my name is Zak Fixler. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Bible from Cairn University, and am currently studying for a Th.M in Reformed Theology and Biblical Languages from Whitefield Theological Seminary. I live in Pennsylvania with my wonderful wife Hannah, and our daughter Lucy. This site will be home to my rants, and hopefully my insights. My Christian faith can best be summarized by the first question and answer of the Heidelberg Catechism:
Question 1: What is your only comfort in life and in death?
Answer: That I am not my own, but belong body and soul, in life and in death to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ. Christ has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood, and has set me free from all the power of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven; in fact, all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him.
I do not claim to have things figured out, yet my desire is to see my beliefs and life constantly be reforming according to the Scripture.
Theology, education, books. These are the things I stew over.
This blog, coincidentally, will be where they spew over.
